Why We Use Frame.io for Video Review and Collaboration

Using Frame.io For Recipe Video Review

Every time we create a video, our goal is to craft one that reflects the personality and aesthetic of the client we are working with. To reach that goal, feedback from our clients is crucial as it allows us to tailor the video specifically to their preferences and values.

Learn From Our Mistakes…

Collaboration drives us to refine and perfect, but the process of review with multiple parties hasn’t always been easy. If you work with a team or partner or client, you probably know exactly what I mean! Gathering feedback in a way that is efficient, effective for communicating ideas, and easy to keep track of, can get very complicated, very quickly.

When we first began to work with clients, we utilized email to communicate about edits, but found it incredibly tedious. Inevitably a comment would get lost in someone’s inbox, someone would forget to include a timestamp with their edits, or a detail would get overlooked in communication. As the volume of videos grew, we realized our review method was extremely inefficient for our workflow.

A Better Solution for Collaboration

After digging around a bit, we found Frame.io (fyi, this post isn’t sponsored, we just love using Frame!). This platform allowed us to easily load videos where they could be accessed by collaborators. Those collaborators could then leave comments, directly on the timeline of the video, which we could check off as we completed them.

The best part is that it happened all in one location. Easy to organize, simple to use, Frame has been a seamless addition to our workflow that we highly recommend!

How about you? What platform do you use for video review and collaboration?
